What are the banking hours of retail banks in Singapore?

Whilst most of the major retail banks in Singapore operate from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm, there are banks that open as early as 8.30 am. There are also some bank branches that operate in the evening. In addition, bank customers can are also make use of other convenient and assessable self-service channels such as automated teller machines, phonebanking and internet banking which provide 24-hour banking service.

Is Saturday a banking holiday in Singapore?

Saturday is not a banking holiday in Singapore. However, some banks choose to operate on a five-day week and are therefore closed on Saturdays.

Do banks operate half-day on the eves of public holidays such as Christmas and Chinese New Year?

Banks observe normal operating hours on the eves of public holidays, unless it falls on a Saturday. An exception is 31 December when most bank branches close at 11.00 am to enable the banks to close their books for the year.
