This booklet provides a non-statutory framework for lenders to assist, and where necessary provide temporary support to, a company/group in financial difficulties whilst the feasibility of a restructuring is being considered.

Following the lowering of annual income of individual borrowers eligible for unsecured credit to $20,000 per annum as announced by MAS in February 2009, ABS has drawn up industry guidelines for retail banks that are interested to develop this new market segment.
